An informational program about a new online learning program for struggling high school students will be 7 p.m. Monday at the Muskegon Area Intermediate School District, 630 Harvey.

The W-A-Y Muskegon program is free and provides students with a computer work station in their home and a mentor to help them pursue a student-driven method of learning.

The program is designed for students with numerous risk factors, including those who are suspended, expelled, fifth- or sixth-year seniors or homebound for an extended period of time.

The summer program will accept 24 participants, and those interested in applying should contact James Mueller, 616-610-1117, or visit wayprogram.net. The program will expand to 60 students in the fall.
