Teacher Salary Budget Sees Increase for 2011-2012 School Year
The Kirkwood School Board approved a 1.29 percent increase in the teacher salary budget at its meeting Monday night.
The Kirkwood Teachers of the Year for 2011-2012 were introduced to the Board of Education Monday night. They are, seated from left, Lorrie Kurtz, Kirkwood Early Childhood Center; Maria Stobbe, North Kirkwood Middle school; Rachael Turken, Robinson Elementary; and, standing from left, Melissa John, Keysor Elementary; Cindy Bernsen, Westchester Elementary; Damian Pritchard, North Glendale Elementary; Lisa Diedrich, Tillman Elementary; Mark Banaszak, Nipher Middle; and Nancy Grimes, Kirkwood High School. The 2011-2012 Kirkwood School Teachers of the Year, along with the District Teacher of the Year who will be named later this month, will be formally introduced to district staff at the opening day workshop on Aug. 11.
